Club Hut

The Martin Brookman Hut has now been built and is secure and weather-proof for the winter. The new hut is named after our previous landlord and the club is grateful for the support of the Brookman family during this time.

The hut is available to use by members as a winter shelter for sleeping but it is not yet fitted out inside. The latest plan drawings for the new hut were circulated to members along with the most recent newsletter. The site remains available for camping and the usual facilities are available in the annexe. Members are asked to speak to the chairman before using the site and reacquaint themselves with the drain-down and frost protection procedures.

Members are also asked to make sure that camping fees are paid promptly to the club treasurer at this critical time of reduced revenue for the club. Meet coordinators are specificlly requested to take personal responsibility for collecting all fees and forwarding them on to the treasurer. This applies to both officially publicised club meets and members' own informal trips.

News of any further developments, including rebuilding work and fitting out, will be published on our news page or in the newsletter.
